Taylorsville has a full-time, fully-staffed police department that provides all law enforcement duties in the Town of Taylorsville.
The agency employs five officers, four dispatchers, and two part-time dispatchers. The agency also employs Ace, a Labrador Retriever who's assignment is to assist with drug searches and provide additional protection for his human handler. The agency is lead by the Chief of Police, Gabe Horn, and is under the supervision of the Mayor and the Board of Alderman. The department is fully funded by the taxpayers of the town, alongside funds from the State of Mississippi and Smith County. |
